How do TOPSFLO products achieve speed regulation?
DetallesPump with two lead wires:
Two wires provide voltage to the pump, and the speed of the pump can be varied by increasing or decreasing the voltage supplied.
Pump with 3 lead wires:
3-wire products can be customized, the pump speed is controlled by 0-5V signal or PWM signal. This is accomplished through a control panel such as a computer or other control device connected to the pump via a third wire. The 0-5V or PWM signal controls the pump speed, not the supply voltage to the pump.
What type of fluid can a pump deliver?
DetallesOur pumps can work with water, antifreeze, coolant, and food grade pumps can pump beverages, juices, milk, etc. In addition, we can also provide customized solutions if you have such kind of needs. Please contact your sales engineer to discuss your technical requirements.
Which pumps can I run dry?
DetallesDiaphragm pumps, piston pumps and peristaltic pumps can be run dry for any length of time. Centrifugal, rotary vane, and gear pumps should not be run dry. Exceptions are if the gear or impeller is made of a self-lubricating material such as RYTON in which case the pump can be run for a few minutes while priming.
What should be paid attention to when installing pumps?
DetallesPay attention to the location and installation direction of the pump, pipe and tank. It is recommended to contact our sales engineer to provide you with installation manual instructions.
The pump is noisier than usual when turned on. Why does this happen?
DetallesIt may be a mechanical failure of the pump, or it may be due to restricted suction pipes causing cavitation (noise). In case of abnormal sound, the water pump can be tested separately without connecting the pipeline system. If the noise is eliminated, it is due to the unsmooth system pipeline causing uneven exhaust, resulting in abnormal sound. If the water pump is tested separately and there is no dry running or noise, it needs to be sent back to TOPSFLO for quality analysis of the cause.
How do I know which wetted materials are suitable for my application?
DetallesFirstly, always check the compatibility of the materials available against the fluid being pumped. It may be that more than one material is suitable for your fluid and selection could be based on the application type. If it is a simple transfer application with a clean less corrosive fluid, then the most cost-effective material will be best. However, if it involves more complex variables such as high temperature and the fluid is highly corrosive then other materials will need to be considered.
What are the benefits of magnetic drive?
DetallesThere are many benefits of sealing the pump in this fashion, including;
• A mechanical seal does not need to be regularly replaced due to wear and tear, this greatly reduces maintenance costs.
• A seal flush is not required for seal lubrication.
• The fluid is fully contained within the pump, this means there are zero chances of leakage.
This is a great benefit when handling hazardous and corrosive products.
